Royal Icing Spider Cookies for Halloween

These spider cookies for Halloween are a smaller version of the design on my Spider Queen Gown cookie that I posted last week. I made the spider webs using the wet-on-wet royal icing technique and finished them with a brush embroidery lace border. Watch the video in my Cookie Art Club!

Here’s what you’ll need to make these spider cookies for Halloween
- Chilled sheet of cookie dough
- Ornate Square Plaque cookie cutter
- 1-¾” round cookie cutter to use as a guide for brush embroidery (not included in the bundle)
- Flood consistency royal icing in pink, dark purple, light purple, and black (see color combinations below)
- Stiff consistency royal icing in black
- Decorating bags
- Couplers
- Bag ties
- Decorating tip 3
- Decorating tip 2
- Decorating tip 1
- Scribe tool
- Thin brush (you can use the small brush from the Wilton 5 piece set)

Color Combinations (I used Chefmaster)
- Black = Black Diamond
- Pink = Neon Brite Pink
- Light and Dark Purple = 1 part Neon Brite Pink + 1 part Sky Blue
