The skulls, spiders, and bones are all royal icing transfers. I dusted the skulls with silver edible glitter while the icing was still wet to give them this silvery look. The spiders are covered with granulated sugar.

Of course I had to do my nails to match!

Here’s what you’ll need to make this Halloween Gingerbread House

Instructions
- Cut the gingerbread house panels from a chilled sheet of cookie dough. Bake the cookies according to the instructions.
- Ice the windows on all panels of the house with white flood consistency royal icing. Use the scribe tool to help shape the icing.
- Ice the door on the front and back panels with pink flood consistency icing. Use the scribe tool to help shape the icing.
- Pipe black stripes with flood consistency icing while the pink icing is still wet. Set the front, back, and side panels aside.
- Ice the roof with purple flood consistency royal icing. Use the scribe tool to help shape the icing.
- Pipe a filigree design with orange flood consistency icing while the purple icing is still wet. Set the roof pieces aside.
- Ice the front and back panels one section at a time with black flood consistency icing. Pipe spider webs with white flood consistency icing and drag the scribe tool through the icing to help shape it.
- Repeat this process on the side panels.
- Pipe spider bodies on a piece of wax paper with black thick flood consistency royal icing. Cover the spiders in granulated sugar.
- Pipe bones on a piece of wax paper with white thick flood consistency royal icing.
- Pipe skulls on a piece of wax paper with black thick flood consistency royal icing. Dust the icing with silver edible glitter.
- Fill in the eyes and nose with more black icing.
- Allow the royal icing transfers and house panels to dry overnight.
- Remove the spiders from the wax paper and attach them to the roof with a little bit of black thick flood consistency icing. Use the same icing to pipe spiders and one thread of a spider web.
- Paint the windows with Neon Brite Green and Neon Brite Yellow food coloring mixed with vodka. The color should be darker around the edges and lighter in the center to create a glowing effect.
- Outline the windows with pink flood consistency icing and outline the doors with orange flood consistency icing. Allow the icing to crust over for a few minutes.
- Attach the bones around the windows and the doors.
- Attach one skull to each of the round windows on the front and back panels.
- Assemble the house by piping green slightly thinned stiff consistency icing on the inside edges of the front panel. Attach the sides to the front. Hold the pieces in place for about 30 seconds to make sure they stick.
- Cover the seams with the green icing.
- Attach the roof pieces and hold them in place for about 30 seconds to make sure they stick. If they are sliding off, place something heavy under the edge of each roof piece until the icing is dry.
- Use medium consistency icing to pipe slime on the top of the roof, along the edges, and the front and back edges of the roof.
- Attach the skulls to the front and back along the roof.
- Pipe medium consistency green icing along the bottom edge of the house where it meets the board.
