Dinosaur Cookies!
Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies of all time! It’s hard to believe that it’s been over 20 years since my dad took me to see it when it first opened in 1993. I’ve probably watched it about 20 times since then! So, as you can imagine, I’m very excited for the premiere of Jurassic World next weekend. So excited, in fact, that I made these dinosaur cookies to celebrate!

As you’ll see in the video below, I used SugarVeil® edible lace with the Mesh Mat and painted it with Wilton bronze and green pearl dusts to get the realistic texture of dinosaur skin. Read this post to learn how to make it.

Here’s what you’ll need for this project:
- 3″ round cookies (my Orange Vanilla Spice cookie recipe is available in the tutorial shop)
- Flood consistency royal icing
- Stiff consistency royal icing
- 12″ decorating bags
- Decorating tips 2 and 352
- Scribe tool
- SugarVeil® edible lace
- Round brush
- Bronze pearl dust
- Green pearl dust
- Paint palette or small dish
- Alcohol or flavored extract (read this post to find out why I use alcohol for painting with gold pearl dust)
