
A few years ago, I made pastel Christmas cookies just like this to send to friends and family. At the time I didn't create a tutorial, so I decided to make them again this year so I could share the video with you!

Here's what you'll need to make these pastel Christmas cookies
- Chilled sheet of cookie dough (my gingerbread cookie recipe is available to my Patreon subscribers)
- Christmas tree cookie cutters

- Flood consistency royal icing in pastel pink, teal, purple, and green
- Medium consistency royal icing in golden brown
- Scribe tool
- 4 - 12” decorating bags with couplers and bag ties
- 3 - Decorating tip 3
- 1 - Decorating tip 2
- Gold luster dust (I used Crystal Colors Antique Gold)
- Vodka, grain alcohol, or any flavor extract for painting
- Decorator brush
- Paint palette or small dish

Colors (I used Chefmaster)
- Rose Pink
- Teal Green
- Leaf Green
- Violet
- Golden brown = Buckeye Brown + Lemon Yellow

Instructions
- Cut the cookies from a chilled sheet of cookie dough. Bake the cookies at 350˚ Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes.
- Fit three decorating bags with couplers and a decorating tip 3. Fill the bags with pink, teal, purple, and green flood consistency icing. Secure the top of the bags with bag ties.
- Flood the cookies with the pink, teal, green, and purple icing. Use the scribe tool to help shape the icing. Allow the icing to dry overnight.
- Fit a decorating bag with a coupler and a decorating tip 2. Fill the bag with medium consistency golden brown icing.
- Pipe a filigree design on the cookies with the medium consistency icing. Allow the icing to dry for at least one hour.
- Mix a little bit of gold luster dust with a few drops of vodka.
- Use a decorator brush to paint the golden brown icing with the gold paint.
