This dainty double bead border is one of my absolute favorites. This is one that I taught many times in my master class, and it was a favorite of my students', as well.
Different borders use different icing consistencies. This double bead uses medium consistency royal icing, which holds a soft peak. You can learn all about the different icing consistencies in my Ultimate Guide To Royal Icing.

The brush embroidery technique can be used in so many different ways. I normally use this technique to make flowers (like in these floral cookies), but here I used it to make a delicate lace border.
The rose design shown on these cookies is done using the wet-on-wet royal icing technique and will be shown in an upcoming tutorial in the Cookie Art Club.
