Baseball Cookies Decorated With Royal Icing

The stitching in these baseball cookies is piped with red medium consistency royal icing, which is thick enough that it holds its shape, but thin enough to easily pipe out of a small decorating tip. Learn all about the different icing consistencies in my Ultimate Guide To Royal Icing.

Here's what you'll need to make these baseball cookies decorated with royal icing

These supplies are available in my Amazon store unless otherwise noted

  • Chilled sheet of cookie dough (I used my cherry almond cut-out cookie recipe - all of my recipes are available in the Cookie Art Club!)
  • 2-½” round cookie cutter 
  • 3-¾” plaque cookie cutter
  • Baseball bat template (download it in the Cookie Art Club)
  • Royal icing
  • Super Red, Royal Blue, Brown, and Coal Black food coloring (I used Chefmaster brand food coloring)
  • Scribe tool
  • Edible ink marker
  • 12” Decorating bags
  • Tipless decorating bag
  • Wilton decorating tips 2, 3, and PME decorating tip 1.5 or Wilton tip 1
  • Couplers & Bag ties (I used Wilton brand)
  • Wilton brown color dust
  • Wilton round decorator brush

  1. The stitches on the baseballs are incorrectly done! They go the opposite direction of each other.
