Meringue Cookies with Sugar Stamps!

Have you heard of Sugar Stamps? Dotty of Sugar Dot Cookies sent me a few designs to try out and I am in love! I’ve been on a meringue kick lately and these have really upped my game.

When I first opened the Sugar Stamps package, I didn’t read the instructions and I tried to peel the designs from the backing thinking it was like a Wilton Sugar Sheet. Don’t be like me! Read the instructions first.

Once you prepare your meringue (recipe below) you pipe directly onto the Sugar Stamps. Look how cute these patterns are!

As the meringues bake, the design will adhere to the bottom. They pop right off of the Sugar Stamp when they’re done baking (make sure to remove them from the sheet as soon as they come out of the oven).

Supply list:

Meringue Recipe (watch the video here)

  • 1/2 cup (60 grams) Egg white
  • 1/2 cup (99 grams) sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 grams) cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (5 mL) vanilla extract

  1. Combine egg whites, sugar, cream of tartar and mix on high speed until frothy. Add vanilla and mix on high speed until the meringue holds a peak (this can take up to 15 minutes).
  2. Split the meringue into two bowls. Color one half teal (blue + yellow) and the other half pink.
  3. Fit decorating bags with a tip 822 and a tip 804. Fill the bags with the meringue.
  4. Place the Sugar Stamps on a baking tray (shiny side down) and pipe the meringue over the designs.
  5. Bake at 200°F (93°C) for 1.5 to 3 hours or until meringues are dry and sound hollow when tapped.
  6. Immediately remove the meringues from the Sugar Stamps and allow to cool completely.

    • Hi Nasreen! I didn’t taste the sugar stamps on their own so I don’t know for sure, but I couldn’t detect any taste from them when they were on the meringues.

  1. Hi Amber! I was just wondering, how hard is it to clean the remains of the sugar stamp sheet off of your baking sheet once you’ve baked and removed your cookies? Thanks!

    • Hi Sara! The Sugar Stamp sheets don’t stick to the pan. There is a backing on the sheet so that the design only sticks to the meringue 🙂

  2. hi, I’m ordering some of your classes and i was wondering what is your coupon code for your site? thank you (:
