I think it’s time to tell you the news! I have two projects coming up that are going to keep me pretty busy over the next few months.

The first of these two projects is a Craftsy class. THANK YOU to all of you who recommended me to the amazing people at Craftsy. I’m so excited for this opportunity and I can’t wait to share the class with you!

I know many of you have seen my video tutorials that are for sale in my shop and on my Vimeo channel, but, as you might already know if you’re familiar with other Craftsy classes, this format is going to be much different. You’ll actually see my face talking to you as I teach you how to decorate cookies… not just my hands! 😉 We’ll start with the basics such as icing consistency and flooding so that you can start out with a perfectly smooth base for decorating, and then we’ll move on to more detailed work where I’ll show you my favorite techniques for creating gorgeous cookies. I’ll also be going over troubleshooting tips and how to fix mistakes. It’s going to be a lot of fun!

If you haven’t joined already, I highly recommend visiting Craftsy.com to see the wide variety of crafting projects that are available. I’m signed up for a crocheting class and I’m really looking forward to learning some new techniques. I’m just a beginner (I can crochet anything that involves a square), but I love to crochet when I’m not decorating cookies. Especially in the fall and winter!

Once I finish filming my cookie decorating class at the Craftsy studios in Denver, I’ll return to my studio in Beacon, NY to begin working on my book! It’s scheduled to be on shelves in the fall of 2015. More on that soon!
