  2. Dear Amber, I love seeing your work, and am in complete awe of your skills. I often watch your, you tube, videos, and wondered what the difference in the you tube videos, and the videos you can purchase. For example flooding a cookie with royal icing, Many thanks. robyn

    1. Hi Robyn! The videos that are available for purchase contain more detailed instructions on each technique. For example, the new flooding tutorial shows how to thin down your icing to the proper consistency, how to fill and hold a decorating bag, and it also comes with a video on how to color your icing using gel paste. Thanks for your comment!

      1. Hi Amber, over the last couple days I have purchased all the video tutorials on your site, and the recipes. The Royal Icing Tutorial did include a demo of how to fill and hold an icing bag, but my copy does not tell how to thin down the icing or add color. I am also wondering how long the base coat needs to dry before adding embroidered flowers or a beaded border?
        Cheers,
        Sandra

        1. Hi Sandra, thanks for your purchase! The flooding with royal icing video should have instructions on how to thin the icing, so I'm going to resend those links just in case something went wrong. The coloring royal icing with gel paste video is a separate video, but it should have been sent in the email with the flooding video link. You'll receive that one when I send the links again. The base coat of icing should dry for 8-12 hours before you add any more decoration. I usually ice the cookies and then let them dry overnight and decorate them the following day. If you have any other questions, you can email me at amber@sweetambs.com. Thank you!
