When Mike and Karen from Karen's Cookies invited me to be a presenter at CookieCon, March 2014 seemed so far away. Now there are only 2 days left before I leave! Yikes! I'm really looking forward to finally meeting all of the talented decorators in this community of cookiers that I've known since I started my Facebook page almost 3 years ago!
The decorating techniques used for this set include flooding, piping lace, monograms, filigree, bead borders and a little bit of brush embroidery. All of my favorites!
I already sent a 10 pound box of cookies to use during my demonstration (the box will be meeting me in Salt Lake City), and I have another pile of stuff to bring including my decorating tools. As much as I do not want to check a bag on the flight, I'm bringing my big suitcase so that I'll have lots of room for new cookie supplies to take home with me!
As I mentioned in my last post, I'm in the process of making a step by step tutorial on how to pipe filigree. I'm also making a monogram tutorial (finally) that will be available in my tutorial shop! So, even if you can't make it to CookieCon, you can visit my shop and download videos with full instructions on how to make royal icing, flooding with royal icing, brush embroidery, and lots of other fun cookie decorating techniques.
Don't forget to visit the tutorial shop for the CookieCon sale! The Video Bundle - Lessons 1-15 is 25% off now through Friday, March 28th.

Can't wait to see you again at CC! I so enjoyed your class in January and have been using many of the things I learned (your royal icing recipe has SO improved my results!) The new space looks huge compared to the one in Cornwall - how exciting!
I'm so happy to hear that, Rachel! Yeah, it was a little bit tight in the space in Cornwall! The new one is about twice the size, so we'll have plenty of room to move around!! See you at CookieCon!!
