3-D Dress Cookies With A Surprise Inside!
There’s a new tutorial in the Cookie Art Club! Learn how to make these beautiful 3-D dress cookies decorated with royal icing. The best part is that these cookies are hiding a surprise inside! Spoiler alert: Mine are filled with frosting.
Of course these can be enjoyed anytime, but I think they would be perfect for a bridal shower or birthday party!

Although these cookies are beautiful on the outside, my favorite thing about them is that you can fill them with treats! As I mentioned earlier, I filled mine with frosting but you can fill yours with anything you like.
Here’s what you’ll need to make these 3-D dress cookies
These supplies are available in my Amazon store unless otherwise noted
- Chilled sheet of cookie dough (I used my chocolate chip cut-out cookie recipe – available to Cookie Art Club members)
- 3-½” and 3-¼” round cookie cutter
- Wilton 6 cavity ball pan or similar baking mold
- Bodice template
- Knife to cut cookies around the template
- Cooling grid over a parchment lined baking sheet
- Royal icing
- Rose Pink, Royal Blue, Coal Black, Leaf Green, Lemon Yellow food coloring (I used Chefmaster brand food coloring)
- 5 12” Decorating bags
- 2 tipless decorating bags
- Decorating tips 1, 2, 3, and petal tip 101 (I used Wilton brand)
- Couplers & Bag ties (I used Wilton brand)
- Decorator brushes (I used Sweet Sticks and Chua Cookie brushes)
- Frosting, candy, or other filling (optional)
