These galaxy cookies have been on my list of designs to try for a while now, especially after all of the requests I’ve been receiving on my YouTube channel!

I was hesitant at first because I really had no idea how I was going to pull it off, but I took some inspiration from galaxy nail art, mixed up some interstellar icing colors and gave it a go. I was pleasantly surprised by the results!

Hi Amber,
Did you have 5 separate bags of colored icing with 5 #2 tips? How did you go from one color to another so quickly? Novice here. 🙂 Thank you in advance!
Hi Mark! Yes, I had all of my colors in bags with tips ready to go before starting the cookie 🙂
Thank you so much, Amber, this helps! One more question if I may….. can I make these a day or two ahead of my projected party event, and if so, how best to store them?
I’m glad to help! This post has info about making cookies ahead of time (TL;DR: make your dough up to three months in advance, freeze it, bake and decorate cookies starting a week or two before the party, seal them up and they’ll stay fresh for up to four weeks) http://www.sweetambs.com/tutorial/cookies-some-general-information/
I made them this morning, finished at 2:10pm, and by 2:30pm, my son’s first grade class had polished them off! They were a huge hit! I can appreciate the professional look of your cookies compared to mine but for a novice first-timer, I think I did pretty well. Thank you so much for your inspiration and help! I (and my son) appreciate it.
I’m so glad to hear that!
