On this episode of Pop Kitchen from Parade Magazine, I’ll show you how to create a set of Marvel cookies featuring Loki, Black Widow, Captain America, and Falcon. Watch the video tutorial and get the supply list below!

I created my own stencils for this set of Marvel cookies by printing images and cutting them with my stencil cutter. I use a Silhouette Portrait 3 as recommended by Marlyn of Montreal Confections.

Here’s what you’ll need to make these Marvel cookies

Equipment

  • Stand mixer with paddle attachment
  • Rubber spatula
  • 6 small bowls for mixing icing colors
  • Small spatula or spoon for mixing icing colors and filling decorating bags
  • Rolling pin (preferably with ¼” guides)
  • Rolling mat or parchment paper
  • Parchment lined baking sheets

Tools

  • 3” round cookie cutter
  • Template to cut Falcon cookie (below)
  • Ruler to cut rectangle cookie
  • 12” decorating bags
  • Wilton bag ties
  • Food coloring (Chefmaster)
    • Lemon Yellow
    • Coal Black
    • Royal Blue
    • Super Red
    • Buckeye Brown
    • Forest Green
  • Gold luster dust
  • Silver luster dust
  • Edible ink markers
  • Scribe tool
  • Wilton decorator brush
  • Vodka or grain alcohol to mix with the luster dust
  • Paint palette or small dish to mix the vodka and luster dust

Right-click on the templates below to save them to your computer and print them out.

To use the cookie template, cut it out, place it on a chilled sheet of cookie dough, and cut around it with a knife. I use a Pen Blade to hand cut my cookies.
