Here’s what you’ll need for this project:
- Roll out cookie dough, chilled (my Orange Vanilla Spice cookie recipe is available in the tutorial shop)
- Ruler and paring knife to cut birch tree cookies
- Tiny deer cookie cutter (I found mine at Loft during my trip to Japan)
- Oval plaque cookie cutter
- Edible ink marker
- Tissue paper (read more about my Tissue Paper Method of transferring designs onto royal icing here)
- 12″ Decorating bags
- Flood consistency royal icing in blue, red, pink, gray, light brown, and dark brown
- Medium consistency royal icing in light brown
- Stiff consistency royal icing in green
- Scribe tool
- Decorating tips 1, 2, and 3

Colors: Wilton Color Right System
- Light blue = tiny drop of blue
- Red = red + orange + brown
- Pink = small amount of red from above mixed with white icing
- Gray = tiny drop of black
- Light brown = brown + a touch of black
- Dark brown = brown
- Green
