Nintendo Cookies!
Super Mario Bros. was (and still is!) my favorite video game.
For my part of this collaborative project with Jac from The Vegetarian Baker, I made these mushroom and star cookies inspired by Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. I wanted every edge of every little square to be sharp, which involved lots of scribe-tooling (as you will see in the video)!
Jac made Nintendo cookies to look just like the controllers from the original NES! You can see how to make them on his YouTube Channel.

Here’s what you’ll need to make these Nintendo inspired cookies
- Roll out cookie dough (my cookie and icing recipes are available to my Cookie Art Club members)
- T-square and paring knife to cut square cookies
- Flood consistency royal icing
- Edible Ink Markers
- Flood consistency royal icing
- Scribe tool
- Round decorating tips 1 and 2
Colors:
- Red = Americolor tulip red + burgundy
- Black = Americolor super black
- Blue = Wilton sky blue
- Green = Americolor leaf green
- Yellow = Wilton lemon yellow + golden yellow
