I was at the grocery store recently when I spotted the limited edition Mocha Oreos on an end cap at the checkout counter. I’m not normally one to make impulse purchases, but I could not pass these up! Somehow, I was able to resist the urge to eat them all and I turned them into these cute mini Latte Art Cookies.
I’ve worked with coating chocolate (aka Candy Melts) a handful of times, and for me, it is WAY more difficult to control than royal icing! It took me several tries to get these right without looking like a total mess. I found that when I was piping the latte art designs, I could pop the whole tray of chocolate disks into the oven for a few seconds to give me some more time to work with them.
Here’s what you’ll need to make these Latte Art Mocha Oreos:
- Mocha Oreos
- Candy Melts
- Cookie mold from The Cookie Countess
- Round Cookie Cutter
- Pencil to trace the cookie cutter
- Baking Sheet
- Parchment Paper
- Printer Paper
- Paper Grocery Bag or Kraft Paper
- Paper Wrap Template (below)
- 3oz Cups
Use this template for the wraps around the paper cups. Right click to save it to your computer and print it out.
