Food Emoji Cookies!
Food emojis are just the cutest and I think they’re even cuter in cookie form. This video is a time-lapse, sped up 6x, because it would have ended up being an hour long at normal speed! I didn’t include instructions in the video since each one is made basically the same way: Ice the base layer with flood consistency royal icing, let it dry, then paint details with food coloring mixed with vodka (you can use any flavor liquid extract instead). All of the cookies were cut by hand using paper templates. It was a lot of work, but I’m thrilled with how these turned out. Scroll down for the video!

Here’s what you’ll need to make these Food Emoji Cookies:
- Roll-out cookie dough (use your favorite recipe or get mine in the tutorial shop)
- Paring knife to cut cookies (I printed the emojis on paper and used those as templates)
- Flood Consistency Royal Icing
- Small decorating bags
- Decorating tip 1
- Decorating tip 2
- Scribe tool
- Brushes
- Fine tip brush
- Alcohol or flavored extract for painting with food coloring (why? read this)
- Paint palette or small dishes for mixing paint
- Colors from the Wilton Color Right set
