April Fools' Food Prank! - SweetAmbs

April Fools’ Food Prank!

April Fools’ Day is almost here! This fast food meal is made of cake, cookies and icing, making it perfect for an April Fools’ food prank!
This project is part of a collaboration with Haniela’s, Montreal Confections, Pink Cake Princess, and Happy Cakes by Renee. You can see all of their food prank videos here.
April-Fools-Prank-FoodHere’s what you’ll need for this project:
  • Flood consistency royal icing (in pink, white or brown, depending on what “flavor” you want your milkshake to be!)
  • Plastic cup and a straw
  • Wax paper lined sheet tray
  • Tape
  • Roll out cookie dough (my orange vanilla spice cookie recipe is available in my tutorial shop)
  • Paring knife and ruler to cut the french fries
  • 8×2″ cake, crumbled*
  • 2 cups cake frosting*
  • Graham cracker crumbs
  • Small cup for ketchup
  • French fry box (get the template here from CreatingKeepsakes.com)
  • Parchment or wax paper lined box for chicken nuggets
*The chicken nuggets are basically cake pops, but without sticks. You can use your favorite cake and frosting recipe for this, or a boxed cake, or you can use the recipe I used, which you can find on the Better Homes and Gardens website. It’s a cupcake recipe, but I baked it in an 8″ cake pan.
