Cookie Decorating Class at The Cake World Boston
I just finished the first of two classes here at The Cake World outside of Boston. Andreia, the owner of the school and organizer of the classes, has been a wonderful host. All of the students in the first group were so great and I’m looking forward to meeting the next group tomorrow! It’s always a really neat experience for me to meet people face to face that I’ve only known through Facebook. And, as hard as it is to be away from home, I do enjoy the free wi-fi, free breakfast and free coffee (with those little hazelnut creamers!) that the hotel life has to offer (thank you, Fairfield Inn!) Here’s what we’ve been working on in the two-day class. Quilting and wet-on-wet flowers Wet-on-wet filigree Filigree and brush embroidery Piped lace and bead borders A lot of these decorating techniques including flooding, quilting, filigree, bead borders, and brush embroidery are taught in my video tutorials, which are available on my Vimeo Channel. If you’re interested in taking a cookie decorating class in person, please click here to see the class schedule. In the next few months I’ll be having two classes at my studio in Beacon, New York and then I’ll be traveling to Mother of Cakes in Allentown, PA and then to Barcelona after that. Yay cookies!
